Somatic Movement Workshop
BIAF & Attakkalari
Facilitator: Sandy Cuthbert
Date: 25th January 2022
Time: 7.00 pm - 8.30 pm
Venue: Online
You will be invited to discover your own personal responses to movement through guided explorations: the somatic work aims to explore how moving from a deeply felt experience of the living body can stimulate creativity and facilitate well-being and self-awareness.

In the workshop we will develop movement ideas that relate to themes explored in ‘Epilogue’ a dance installation and film produced by Maiden Voyage Dance. The work is created and devised from the lived experience and personal reflections of two mature professional dancers Jane Mooney and myself, Sandy Cuthbert.

There will be dynamic shifts within the workshop, with an overall emphasis on nurturing, attending and listening to the body, being receptive and responsive to ourselves and to others.

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing.
