OPEN STUDIO Day 1

The AIB Open Studio is envisioned as a talent incubator that invites dance professionals, choreographers, dance artists and groups pan-India to present short-duration choreographies they’d conceptualised and created in the past two years. This year, the AIB Open Studio stage presents performances by 10 emerging contemporary Indian dancers.

Deepanwita Roy

Deepanwita Roy  is an independent contemporary dance artist, creator and teacher. She has performed at Serendipity Arts Festival, Goa; Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, Mumbai; Soorya Festival, Thiruvananthapuram among others. Her dance film, Green Moves has been selected for the Room Festival 2022, Ireland by Flora Fauna project. Unvoiced, an experimental movement film co-choreographed and performed by her, has been selected for PECDA, 2022.

PINTU DAS

Pintu Das is a contemporary dancer, choreographer, and fitness instructor from Kolkata. Starting his dance career with Street Form and Cinematic Dance, he studied Bharatanatyam in Rabindra Bharati University. He is also conversant with contemporary dance, Animal Flow and the Feldenkrais Method.
