THE AIB OPEN STUDIO
The Attakkalari India Biennial 2021-22 is here. The three-month-long celebrations begin on a high note with The AIB Open Studio. A popular event in AIB’s bi-annual ready reckoner, it features a curated set of performances by dance artists and groups based in India. This year, we once again invite you to come perform at the Attakkalari stage.
Who can apply?
Dance professionals / choreographer / dance artist / performer / groups who are active in their practice and have been producing works for at least the past couple of years who have a short 8-10 mins original piece of work created in 2020-2021 that they’d like to showcase. Young emerging artists from marginalized communities are specifically encouraged to apply.
What's in it for you:

The Attakkalari team will select 6 entries from the applications recieved. Selected artistes/groups will be invited to perform at The AIB Open Studio to be held on Dec 18-19 (tentative) at Rangamandala, Attakkalari Studios.

There will be an all inclusive fixed base presentation fee of Rs.5000 per artist upto Rs.20,000 per team for the selected participants.

Since it is a ticketed event, all proceeds from the sales of tickets will be shared equally among the participating members.

Please note that Attakkalari will NOT be able to provide any financial support towards any costs incurred by the participants, over and above the fixed presentation fee that is being offered.
